Tree being taken down piece by piece on an open plot

Fixed price, RUT directly on the invoice

We never set a price without having seen the tree. The home visit costs nothing, the price you get is fixed.

As a private individual you pay half the labour cost because we apply the RUT tax deduction (a Swedish tax relief on labour costs for household services) for you.

Six things that decide the price

Two trees that look the same can cost completely different amounts. That is why we come out and look before we name a figure.

  1. The size of the tree

The height and spread of the crown decide how many pieces the tree must be taken down in and how much has to come down to the ground.

  2. What stands around it

Houses, garages, greenhouses, fences, paving, cables, the neighbour's plot. The less room there is, the more and smaller the pieces, and the more rigging.

  3. The method

Felling from the ground is quickest. Sectional felling takes longer. A crane lorry is quickest for large trees, but costs more per hour.

  4. The condition of the tree

A dead or rotten tree cannot be climbed in the usual way and requires a crane lorry or a winch.

  5. Access

If the crane lorry can stand on the street and reach the tree, everything goes faster. A tree far into the plot with no driveway takes longer.

  6. The stump, trunk and brash

Stump grinding, removal and chipping are added if you want them. If you keep the wood and have the brash chipped on site, it costs less.

How the RUT deduction works

Tree felling, tree pruning, stump grinding and removal of brash and trunk count as garden work.

They give a RUT tax deduction (a Swedish tax relief on labour costs for household services) on half the labour cost.

This applies when the work is done on the plot of your home or holiday home.

We apply the deduction directly on the invoice and claim the rest from the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). You only need to give us your personal identity number.

The deduction applies to the labour cost: machine costs and materials are not included, and we split the invoice so that it comes out right.

If two people in the household are entitled to the deduction, the invoice can be split.

There is a ceiling per person and year that you share with any other RUT work you have bought. The current ceiling is stated by the Swedish Tax Agency.

If you are unsure how much room you have left, tell us before we start.

  • Stump grinding
  • Removal of brash and trunk from the work
  • Working time when felling with a crane lorry

Does not qualify for the RUT deduction

  • Machine costs and materials
  • Work for companies and associations
  • Advice without work carried out

Questions about price and payment

Why are there no prices on the page?

Because two trees that look alike can cost completely different amounts depending on where they stand. A price without a home visit would be a guess, and we would rather give you a fixed price that holds.

What does the home visit cost?

Nothing, and you are not committing to anything. We come out, look, and give you a written price.

Is the price fixed?

Yes. The price in the quotation is what you pay, however long the work takes. If something turns up that we could not see, for example concrete in the stump, we tell you before doing anything that costs more.

How do I pay?

By invoice after the work is done. The RUT deduction is already deducted on the invoice, so you pay half the labour cost and we claim the rest from the Swedish Tax Agency.

Can companies and associations get RUT?

No, RUT is for private individuals. Companies, housing cooperatives and municipalities receive an invoice without the deduction.
