Arborists with a crane lorry

Arboträd is a small company that does one thing: looks after trees.

We climb, prune, fell and grind, and when a tree is too large or in too poor a state to climb, we lift it away with our own crane lorry.

The surgeons of the garden

We like to describe ourselves that way, because the work combines biological knowledge with practical skill.

An arborist knows where a cut should be made for the tree to callus over it, how much a crown can tolerate being reduced, which fungi mean danger and which do not.

That knowledge decides whether a tree should be felled or left standing.

Arboträd is run by Jan Krystian Wyrzykowski, arborist, whom you meet at the home visit and who is usually the one up in the tree.

We are certified, keep training throughout the year and have liability insurance covering the work.

We work with rope and harness in the crown, never from a ladder, and with a crane lorry when the tree requires it.

How a job goes

From the first call to a tidy plot, with the same people all the way.

  1. You get in touch

Call, e-mail or send the form and tell us where the tree stands.

  2. We come out and look

We book a home visit and look at the tree, the ground and what stands around it.

  3. You get a fixed price

With the RUT deduction applied if you are a private individual. The home visit costs nothing.

  4. We do the job and tidy up

If you say yes we book a day, do the job, tidy up and leave. We chip the brash or take it with us, cut the trunk into firewood if you want it, and grind the stump if you want the ground clear.

Who we work for

Most of our customers are homeowners with a tree that has become too big, too close or too poor.

But we also take jobs for municipalities, churches and property owners: our clients include Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration), Växjö municipality, Alvesta municipality, the Church of Sweden, the Catholic Church and several tenants' associations.

Trees by roads, cemeteries and residential areas are typical crane lorry jobs.

An arborist in your area

We are based in Hamneda in Ljungby municipality. The place pages below are in Swedish.

Tree care is local work, so we have a page for each place where we are often found: Växjö, Ljungby, Älmhult, Markaryd, Alvesta and Värnamo.

They cover what applies in the municipality, what we have done there and what is typical of the trees in the area.

Questions about us

What is the difference between an arborist and a tree feller?

A tree feller takes trees down. An arborist is trained in tree biology and can judge what a tree needs: felling, pruning, stabilising or nothing. We are arborists, and fell trees when it is the right measure.
